After receiving a phone call, from my children's school, i was very concerned. I immediately arranged to see the the headmaster.
He told me there was concern about my son's behaviour, and that he was late , almost every day. His mother was blaming the
busses. He suggested i speak to the school liaison officer, who was handling my son.
At first, she seemed like a breath of fresh air. She was very supportive. When referring to my ex partner, she used bad
language, and told me i had 9 months to save my son. I was horrified. After contact was stopped, my son had become withdrawn,
and stopped eating. He was clearly missing me. I explained the situation regarding contact, and the school were not even aware
that contact had been stopped.
The school liaison officer, offered to keep an eye on my children for me, and gave me her mobile number. I rang, and visited
the school several times. On one occasion, i was told my ex partner had been fighting in the playground, with another parent.
She was fighting a male, and this was in front of the children. I was told i should contact the NSPCC and SOCIAL SERVICES.
I was reluctant to do this, as they seem to ruin more lives than they help. But one day, i rang to see how they were, and
was shocked, when i was told she had pulled them from the school, unexpectedly. I was later told by my ex partner, that she
was fed up with the interference regarding my son.
I was again advised to contact the social services. I was also told, that they were no longer anything to do with the school.
They should have been concerned at their removal, as they had been there since nursery, but they just washed their hands of
them.
I called social services, without naming anyone, and told them the situation. They said it was important i reported it,
and i said i would call back. After mulling over it all weekend, i called. To my horror, they gave information out about my
planned court action to my ex, named me, and sent me a letter, in no time at all, saying case closed. My ex rang me, with
threats etc., and said she had a friend at social services!!

I feel guilty, for leaving
them with this violent
and abusive woman!
BUT AT LEAST I TRIED!
|
'I am discusted by the slack
approach, by both the school, and social services. Does anyone actually care about the children?'
WHEN I FINALLY GOT THE NERVE TO REPORT MY EX PARTNER, I HIT A BRICK WALL. THE POLICE SAID I SHOULD SPEAK TO
SOCIAL SERVICES.
SOCIAL SERVICES THOUGHT THERE WAS NO CASE TO ANSWER.
I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM SOCIAL SERVICES, SAYING THE CASE WAS CLOSED. THERE WAS NO EXPLANATION, NO REQUEST
FOR MORE INFORMATION, OR ANYTHING.
ACCORDING TO MY EX PARTNER, THEY TOLD HER TO IGNORE IT, SAYING THEY WERE COUNTING IT AS AN HOAX!
THE SCHOOL LIAISON OFFICER, WHO HAD TOLD ME TO DO IT, REFUSED TO GET INVOLVED, AS THEY WERE NO-LONGER AT THAT
SCHOOL!
