I was full of hope and excitement, when i first started my application for contact. I had not realised, that the judges
would just turn up, tell me to come again, but never actually do anything.
All they did in the first hearing, was order a CAFCASS report. My ex partner failed to show at the CAFCASS offices on two
occasions. This was the first of many delay tactics, used by my ex partner. No action was taken against her.
The CAFCASS report went in my favour. This fact was ignored for the next two hearings, while further delay tactics were
used. These were just accepted by the judges. The judge ordered a final hearing, usually, about half a day. My ex partner's
solicitor, asked for one and a half days instead. The judge agreed to this, asking no questions. Getting a day and a half,
in the family courts, is very hard. In fact, this added several months to the case. The useless judge responsible, eventually
spotted this oversight, and reduced it to just FOUR HOURS!! But the original hearing was allowed to stand, so this was of
no help whatsoever.
I thought the hearings would be slightly informal, and that the children's welfare would be considered at all times. This
is so not the case. In fact, one arrogant judge was constantly rude to the solicitors, and never looked at either me, or my
partner. He looked like the factory boss on the Simpsons, and even worse, he acted like him. He should be sitting in front
of murderers, not the family courts.
The final hearing was just three hours long, but we were never allowed in court. The CAFCASS guy had turned up. He said
that his report was now out of date, and i should only have access an hour a week, supervised! I was shocked. Yet again, the
delay tactics had all gone in my ex partners favour. I was basically told to accept the offer, or meet the wrath of CAFCASS.
I accepted, thinking that at least contact would be started. But my ex partner had only agreed, to delay things even further
- she broke the order, within a week!!
We were soon back at court. I was told the judge could either fine my ex partner, jail her, or give custody of the children
to me. I was then told she would not do any of this, as it was considered bad for the children. My ex partners solicitor was
told off in court (whoopee), and CAFCASS again changed their mind, recommending contact be stopped. They recommended a guardian
be appointed (yet more delays), and decide the way ahead. The judge warned my ex partner, that she was keeping an eye on the
case, and we were ordered back to court in a weeks time. Here, a guardian was appointed. I now await the guardian, and CAFCASS
are now fading into the background!!

A total waste of time!
I have attended my local court
four times. i have also attended two seperate courts, over 20
miles away, on three occasions.
Its like being with
a travelling circus!

YOU ATEND COURT TIME AND TIME AGAIN. BUT THESE SO CALLED PROFESSIONALS, ARE GETTING PAID A LOT OF MONEY, WHILE ALL YOU
GET IS A LOT OF HEARTACHE.
THEY WOULD BE MORE HUMANE, IF THEY JUST TURNED ROUND, AND TOLD US WE WERE WASTING OUR TIME!

UPDATE:- CAN'T BELIEVE IT - THE SO CALLED GAURDIAN, IS ANOTHER CAFCASS WORKER. I HAD JUST COMPLAINED, ABOUT THE TIME
IT WAS TAKING, FOR HER TO GET FULLY INVOLVED IN THE CASE. FINALLY, I GOT THE LETTER - SHE WANTED TO SEE ME. IT WAS NOT TO
START ON THE CASE, IT WAS TO END IT, JUST LIKE THAT. SOME INPUT WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE. MUST BE NICE TO PLAY GOD - AND WRECK
PEOPLE LIVES!
